Watch Zohaan grow up in Phutari
Our story, through Zohaan đź’•
Phutari may have grown into many things today but our Kids' Kurta Pyjamas began simply because of our little one, Zohaan.Â
With him, summers felt different. We noticed how tiring constant outfit changes were, cranky afternoons because of uncomfortable clothes, that sticky feeling on the skin that just wouldn't go away. We tried everything we could find but most clothes looked cute on a hanger, not on a toddler who wanted to run, roll, nap and just and have fun.
So we stopped searching and went to the drawing board.Â
We chose the lightest, softest cottons, ones that felt like air on the skin, that stayed gentle through long, hot days. Alongside that came the need for joy. Outfits that would spark curiosity, playfulness and a little bit of magic in the everyday. That’s where our prints came in. Agar Magar, Happy Hippos…pieces that didn’t just feel good but made Zohaan smile, made him reach for them, again and again.
Every piece he wore became our feedback. As he grew, so did everything we made.
The elastic had to be soft enough that he'd forget it was there and never leave a mark. The pyjama length went through more rounds than we can count. The kurta sleeves had to be just perfect, depending on how much room a little arm actually needs to move, to reach, to just be a kid in. You don't figure that out at a desk.Â
This was never just clothing for us. It was and always will be personal. That’s what makes it truly Phutari. 💕
