How to wash hand block printed garments?
Hand block printed products are easy to maintain, all you need is love, a little care & some knowledge about the products.
At phutari we use two types of colors;
1. Pigment Colors - It is best recommended to initially hand wash the garments separately which have been made using pigment colors. The darker colors might have the tendency to bleed in the first few washes.
If you machine wash, then please wash in delicate mode & make sure to use mild detergents to preserve the quality & color of the garment.
2. Batik/Natural Colors - It is highly recommended to always hand wash the garment separately as these garments bleed due to the traditional hand dying method, some colors might have the tendency to rub off on the skin as well, The rubbing off is a proof that they colors used are natural & hand dyed.
If you machine wash, then please wash in delicate mode separately & make sure to use mild detergents to preserve the quality & color of the garment.
Note for all types of color : Do not use the dryer while washing in the machine & do not wring. Do not dry in direct sunlight, shade is preferred.
